LS2 Helmets... perhaps the adventure riding and dual sport world's most unsung hero. Today we'll go over a modular and standard option for adventure riding that's priced shockingly well beneath it's quality and reputation.
Contrary to popular belief...
...most helmet manufacturers are not actually manufacturers. They are retailers who buy helmets from wholesalers / manufacturers-- or as is the case with many higher-end helmets, hire a manufacturer to build their designs for the retail market. There are many great
helmets out there from both methods but one thing that sets LS2 apart from many of them is that they are the manufacturer, wholesaler and a retailer of their products. The company is lead by very passionate 'motorcyclites' as well. This fact, and of course the high quality control factor resulting from being present in their own factories, has produced one hell of a bucket across the board--street to dirt.
Designed and manufactured in Barcelona Spain, their materials, designs and final product weights are second to none. As far as we can tell the only thing they come up short in is the price. This is a FACT that LS2 is very open about discussing. In short, that overarching message seems to indicate that they have a heart for riders and that they make plenty of damn money and simply don't feel the need to gouge the riding community. And THAT is a good thing for you and I.

The shell is built using LS2's proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA). A strong EXTREMELY light high-tech material that is slightly flexible for energy absorption

LS2 helmets are of course produced in a factory but they are not mass produced like many other helmets. That being said, certain sizes are not always available and thereby effect the price. We've gone through and found as many colors and prices at the best possible price and have linked them here. NOTE: We are told that LS2 helmets run slightly small and that the cheek pads cause this. If you decide to buy one do factor that. We've included their size chart at the end of the article as well.
